The Gospel. The Good News. I believe that the Good News is that God is love and that love encompasses all that is and all that will be.
Where man once feared God’s Wrath and judgement, Christ came to present to mankind the true nature of God, which is Love. Holy Communion with Love restores the broken as well as those doing the breaking. Relationships are not based on fear, but love maintains the strength of relationships and gives new life and purpose to us all.
Sin is the absence of love. Loving thoughts, words and actions create a world that guides humanity to its proper state. An evolution of mind, spirit, and body. Fear and hate are poisonous toxins that if digested enough can be fatal for the consumer and those in their paths. The only true protection is love. Continuously pouring love into someone breaks down the walls of insecurity, fear, hate, resentment, etc. That is how our great leaders and prophets have gotten things accomplished. Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., Coretta Scott King, Dorothy Day, Pope Francis and others have been profoundly instrumental in moving humanity forward. The path to making the world a better place and creating the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth is to act in love, speak in love, listen in love, think in love, and see in love. Without love the world dies. Preaching the Gospel to yourself everyday means to me that I must always keep my mind on the practices and teachings of Christ and exemplify that love to my fellow man.
Refugees, immigrants, LGBT people, women, drug addicts, Republicans, Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Atheists, Wiccans, Satan worshippers, murderers, Agnostics, Democrats, etc. All people from the poorest to the richest, from the lightest to the darkest, from every religion and non, from every political party, all people need, desire, and deserve love. Love creates a better world for ourselves, our neighbors, and our descendants. It is our evolutionary ticket. It is the beginning and the end of all.
